A few months ago, Ivanka Trump announced the launch of her high end jewelry line to be sold through her own store starting this September. Donald Trump, her father, announced that he is too venturing into the jewelry market. After real estate and reality television he is further expanding his brand by adding fine jewelry to his list of achievements. The entrepreneur partnered with jewelry manufacturer SHR, a division of M. Fabrikant & Sons, to create the Donald J. Trump Signature Fine Jewelry Collection. “People aspire to connect with my lifestyle. A collection of fine jewelry is a natural step for my brand. This collection is aspirational, elegant, and completes the dressed for success look” said Trump about his new collection, which will include diamonds, gemstones and gold. Of course, it won’t be in direct competition with his daughter’s line because the Donald J. Trump Signature Fine Jewelry Collection is aimed at men and includes bracelets, rings, money clips, cuff links and key chains. In a press release, SHR President Scott Rauch specified that “The men’s jewelry market is increasing dramatically and there is a huge void in the marketplace for branded men’s jewelry. We feel this collection will have enormous appeal to those who understand the importance of dressing for corporate success.” Prices range from $95 for a stainless steel key chain emblazoned with the Trump crest to $5,000 for a 14-karat gold onyx and diamond bracelet. We shall see how successful the Trumps will be in this industry.
