Swimsuits 101 Guide
With many styles to pick from, it’s hard to choose. So, here are some tips when picking a suit.
Boy Bod – Go for nautical stripes. They create an illusion of curves on a straight figure, ruching does this aswell. Add fullness to your chest with subtle padding or underwire. Boyshorts enhance hips and distracts from a small chest. Try to avoid bandeau tops.
Petite - Tiny bursts of botanicals suit a smaller frame. Steer clear of oversized prits and patterns. Keep it proporsional to your size. Create illusion of added inches with bandeau tops and high cut thigh embellishments such as rings or side ties.
Tall – Make jaws drop in bright, saturated colours. Balance a long torso in a high cut thigh. Go for one-piece with under-the-bust detail, such as ruching.
Athletic – Highlight a lean line with a metallic sheen. Cut outs flatter your toned muscles while still looking feminine. If you have broad shoulder’s, you’re in luck! In this season is a goddess-inspired neckline.
Curvy – Safari prints (in this summer) flatter a full figure. Avoid bandeau tops and opt for underwire or a built-in bra for support. Details at the chest such as embellishments or a plunging neckline draw attention upwards and help balance proportions. For a slimming effect, try a tank or halter one-piece with a high cut thigh.
