Makki uses the finest grade of eel skin leather. The leather is much softer than normal leather, although it is approximately 3 times stronger. The designs are hand made and hand dyed. The leather is a by product of the food industry, the eels are not killed for their skin.
Treated with care, the designs last for many years and become softer & softer with use.
Makki has an eco fashion policy and supports artisans who have developed ancient techniques over years. Each Makki piece has the unique one of a kind appeal owing to the hand made and hand dyed qualities.
In a world where disposable fashion using cheap labour and mass produced items is becoming the norm, Makki is offering the consumer, fashion with a conscience.
Available in a range of striking colours.
