Diane von Furstenberg Studio LP has accused Mango On-line Inc. of copyright infringement. Mango supposedly reproduced and is selling dresses and tops which are nearly identical to the Diane von Furstenberg’s “Macaroon Stripe Design” and “Tahitian Maze Design.” Furthermore, Mango agreed to stop the sale of the accused clothing in an e-mail dated June 2nd, but the clothing were continually sold until July 2nd. DVF calls for a worldwide recall from commercial distribution and the destruction of any garments found to be infringing the copyright. However, Mango maintains that they have not violated any copyrights, and their patterns come from a trusted designer.
