Leave it to Victoria Beckham to cause a stir at her Fragrance launch for something much different than her newest scent. Beckham sported a pair of thigh- high, PVC, black boots without a heel.

The 5 ‘1/2 inch boots have no heel and no, Vic is not the first person to purchase a pair. This summer, Uma Thurman, Gweneth Paltrow and Victoria purchased a Gladiator style metallic heel-less sandal.

Although the style looks nearly impossible to walk in and incredibly painful, Berardi says the radical design will not cause the wearer any pain “They are perfectly balanced,” he said, “When the girls come for fittings, they look a bit daunted, but by the end they say it’s just like wearing a regular shoe”.

The science is in the platform sole, which stretches back further than normal and gives support under the arch of the foot.
