Funny gal and talk-show host Elle DeGeneres confimed Tuesday she will in fact be the next spokesmodel for Covergirl cosmetics.

Though she may not be known for her fashion forwardness like past Covergirl celebs such as Beyonce and Drew Barrymore, her infectious smile and incredible sense of humour make her ideal to fill the role of the “easy, breezy, beautiful” Covergirl.

DeGeneres has also been one of many celebs featured in the American Express card campaign. If that’s any indication of what’s to come with her Covergirl gig, then we are all in for treat as we can be sure she will bring her quirky humor to the world of beauty. Be on the lookout for her Covergirl ads scheduled to appear in January 2009.
