Anne Hathaway braces the October cover of W in a more sophisticated look than we’re used to.  The sweet and innocent star is looking very editorial in beautiful couture and crazy hair and makeup.

In the W interview, Anne dishes about everything from actually coming to the interview to starring in The Princess Diaries (and the sequel) at such a young age to not having a life of her own.

“I was up in Nyack [New York] the other night visiting Jonathan and his family. They all had so much going on. And I just started to cry because I thought; I don’t have a life right now.”

The mag hits newsstands Tuesday, September 23. 

FYI: Anne’s ex, Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty last week for fraud and money laundering. “I know what I did was wrong,” he said.
