Gold Statue of Kate Moss Unveils in British Museum
“The Ideal Beauty of the Moment.” That’s how Marc Quinn described his newest creation of Kate Moss gold statue about to be displayed in the British Museum. Named “Siren”, the statue is 50kg and is worth 1.5 million GBP.
“I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who’s the ideal beauty of the moment,” said Marc Quinn, “But even Kate Moss doesn’t live up to the image.”
It is not Marc Quinn’s first sculpture of Kate Moss. He also did a bronze statue in a yoga pose painted in white, calling it Sphinx. He also created other sculptures of famous people including Alison Lapper pregnant. He also made a head bust of himself made out of 8 pint of his own frozen blood.
