Burberry to Launch Children’s Store in the United States
After making it clear to expand in America, Burberry will be opening its first childrenswear stores in the US in November.
The first, 2,656-sqaure foot space will open November 7 at The Westchester in White Plains, New York, to be followed by another opening in Palo Alto, California ten days later. Both stores will showcase a full collection of Burberry clothing for children, which are directly inspired by the label’s mainline collections worldwide.
Reporting a 25 per cent annual profit increase last May, Burberry’s finance director Stacy Cartwright said the label was “very underpenetrated in the US market,” and “There is lots more to go for there.”
