Would you feel in heaven if you walk into a house of the world’s most beautiful and exquisite shoes? I would! Iconic department store Liberty of London will be launching a large shoe salon called the House of Heels. It’s much anticipated grand opening will be next month during London’s Fashion Week. The House of Heels is set up with a romantic historic Tudor architecture and features various rooms with different tableaux in which the shoes are displayed; from a warm boudoir-like “drawing room” to an intimate “bedroom.” (Scrow down for all the pictures from the store.) The shoes will include collections from Yves Saint Laurent, Chloé, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, Azzedine Alaïa and many more, including two of Britain’s favorite shoe designers Nicholas Kirkwood and Rupert Sanderson. And for all of us who will not be making regular trips to the UK, Liberty will be launching an e-commerce website this coming September and the shoes will be available for purchase online by Spring 2009.
