Diane von Furstenberg is set to pen her first column in the November/December 2008 issue of Departures magazine. The style icon can now add writer to her long list of achievements. She is set to start as a travel columnist, sharing her fast-paced, jet-set lifestyle with readers. The bi-monthly columns are expected to be illustrated with her own photography. Many people have reportedly commented by saying “Her whole life is like a Departures magazine”.

To name a few of her lifetime achievements, they include: designer, business woman, guest judge on a few episodes of ‘Project Runway’,  president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), is a recipient of The International Center in New York’s Award of Excellence, mother and now travel columnist.

Departures is an American lifestyle magazine published by American Express. It is published bi-monthly and available to members of American Express Platinum and Centurion (a.k.a. Black) charge cards for a free subscription. Departures is not available to the general public.
