Remember, way back when cell phones were used to call people? I can barely, I don’t know about you. I feel as though I am being judged on its ‘cool; factor every time I pull mine out. I get nervous on the subway, I glance left and right to check my neighboring peers and size up the competition first.

With the release of phones like the iPhone, which has taken over the market, and its competitor Blackberry, smart phones are the latest fashion accessory. You know how you don’t want to be caught dead wearing last years trends, well its the same thing will your mobile device. They have just as short of a shelf life. I know people who go through phones more often then they cut their hair, literally.

Personally, if mine gets a signal and I can call a friend to meet up last minute for lunch, then its the most functional, but not necessarily fashionable accessory I own. But, maybe its like for a change? I just feel if I spend a months worth in rent on a cell phone it better come with a chain so I can wear it around my neck, so I can show that baby off, like it was a Tiffany’s bracelet or something.
