Erin Wasson to design line for RVCA
Model Erin Wasson has signed a 3-year deal to design for the surf and skate inspired clothing companyRVCA. The line will be dubbed ‘Erin Wasson for RVCA’ and has already been snapped up by Opening Ceremony, which bought the 2009 spring collection.
Wasson has been featured in campaigns from Balenciaga to H&M but is best known for her collaboration with Alexander Wang. She styled the last two shows and sat as his style-muse. She has also designed a jewelry line, Low Luv, featured in Wang’s fall 2008 runway show.
The RVCA line is straying away from girlie colours, and instead featuring blacks, greys and whites. The clothing line, said to mirror her own personal style, will feature cotton tanks, denim cut-offs, a wool mini-skirt, a silk button-down emblazoned with tiny thunderbolts, and a blazer with a zipper running up the back.
She is quick to add that she is not giving up her modeling career soon. Just add this to her resume!
