Snake Massage Treatment
While it’s not exactly suitable for everyone, an Israeli health and beauty spa has introduced a new treatment for its customers – a snake massage.
Clients at Ada Barak’s spa in Northern Israel can have their knotted muscles relaxed by having a snake massage for about $70. Six non-venomous serpents are released to slither around on the client’s back. The snakes are supposed to ease the tension in the client’s aching muscles.
“I’m actually afraid of snakes, but the therapeutic effects are really good,” customer Liz Cohen told Reuters.
Barak uses California and Florida king snakes, corn snakes and milk snakes for her treatments.
“I’m actually afraid of snakes, but the therapeutic effects are really good,” says customer Liz Cohen.
Chances are people will mostly likely become even more stressed and tense up if they are not comfortable with this idea. Barak believes that once people get over the feat, they will find physical contact with the snakes to be relaxing.
