With a name like Smalls, this up and coming model has only the Big things in her future.

The model was born Puerto Rico in 1988, making her only 20, and is currently signed to Elite Models- Ny and City Models -Paris.

Smalls, who stands 5′10, rise to fame began in 2007, when she first to Elite Models in New York, and than was a model in the Tory Burch presentation in NY. Later in 2007, she appeared in ad campaigns for Liz Claibourne with Anouck Lepere and modeled for Nordstrom catalog. But–her biggest gig happened in September of 2007, when Smalls closed the Port 1961 S/S 08, which lead to her most recent accomplishment– she is the face of Port 1961.

Since being named the Face for Port 1961 earlier this year, she has walked the fall Diane von Furstenberg, James Coviello, Ports 1961, and Sass & Bide shows in New York and also appeared in a Cosmopolitan editorial. This July, she was featured in a V with Elite Model Management models, photographed by Taghi Naderzad.

I know expect Joan Smalls to keep growing, and growing….. and growing…
