Jewelry Does Architecture: Matina Aminata
This season is all about the statement of jewelry. And what better statement than mixing exclusive jewelry with inspiring architecture. Designer Matina Aminata, launched her cocktail ring collection called “Globe Trotter” which was inspired by magnificent architecture from all around the world. You can chose from a variety of magical Gaudi sculptures, the Manhattan skyline, the stunningly beautiful Taj Mahal, or even Bondi Beach. In her words, “Ideas gathered from my experience traveling the world, where I noticed how a culture and tradition are what makes each city stands out as an individual. Only recently, it occurred to me how architecture tells a beautiful tale of the city it lives in. The rings mimic the building standing tall, sparkling gems light up the night, reminding of the city memories were once made.” The jewelry design graduate now leaves and works from Thailand. You can view the Manita Aminata entire collection at www.kabiri.co.uk. The rings are truly an investment as they range from £375 to £625. However, imagine spending an unforgettable moment watching the Manhattan skyline, and then having a ring with it to remind you forever. What a special ring that will be!
