Donatella Versace has confirmed that Versace will be sponsoring this years Whitney Museum Gala. The gala will take place October 20th, 2008 and the theme is “Whitney: past, present, future”.

Donatella did not just sponsor the event, she also has collaborated with three other artists Julian Schnabel, Marc Quinn and Wangechi Mutu and created three pieces of jewelry that will be auctioned off at the gala.

She added that she plans to help the bidding process at the gala. “I hope the three pieces will find good homes where they will bring pleasure and excitement,” she said.
