Public Domain T-Shirts (publicdomainclothing.com)

Public Domain has been producing printed t-shirts for a couple years of now and everyone from Adrian Grenier (that guy from Entourage), Mischa Barton and Zac Efron have been wearing the shirts. The t-shirts range from small to large and are pretty basic with a pop-culture print plastered on the front. The redeeming part of the website is that some t-shirts come with a story, adding an element of spice to an otherwise worn out trend. The website has a men’s and women’s collection, which features about ten to twelve different designs all accompanied by a different story or catchy tag-line. For example, the Soft Serve t-shirt says,
The sound of breaking waves and rustling beach umbrellas compete with children’s voices (”i scream, u scream, we all scream for ice cream!”) as the camera pans the set at sand-level. A man slathers a woman’s back with suntan lotion, a toddler chases a beach ball, a young mother packs mud into a bucket for her son’s sand castle. The child looks on with wonder before obstinately flinging a mud patty at his mother’s throat. We hear her scolding him as the view cuts to the boardwalk, edging a busy avenue. Cars zoom by. Faintly - in the distance - a familiar sound rises above the din. The sound of comfort. The sound of delight. The sound of luscious sweetness moulded into many-colored forms with cartoon names. The sound of destiny; of opportunities captured and missed; of the fleeting nature of life and everything good it has in store … The sound of the ice cream truck ambling, ringing, singing, and dinging towards the beach …
Now doesn’t that make you wish summer lasted forever!
