Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen are now authors. The 21-year-old twins are publishing a coffee table book titled Influence. The book is being published through Penguin Young Readers Group.

The book will feature 22 people they find the most interesting, challenging and creative - the ones they say helped pave the way for them and their generation. The twins say they interviewed people who have inspired them and hope they will continue to inspire and teach others.

Among the interviews featured is shoe guru Christian Louboutin, actress Lauren Hutton, photographer Terry Richardson and writer Bob Colacello.

Internationally known photographer Rankin shot the cover as well as many of the interior shots. The 272-page book was designed by renowned book-designer Rodrigo Corral and edited by fashion and arts writer Derek Blasberg.

Influence has 4 major sections: Fashion, Environment, Art and Giving Back, as well as an introduction and conclusion. The book will include a wide variety of never-before-seen materials and interviews from the twins’ personal collections.

The book, available through pre-order and due out this fall, features two jackets with a different Olsen on each front cover and the other on the back.
