The Dior Karenina Bag
The soon-to-be released Dior ‘Karenina’ Bag has already been seen toted around town by Mary-Kate Olsen, Claudia Schiffer and Christina Aguilera.
Created by John Galliano, this bag is inspired by the famous novel written by Leo Tolstoy, “Anna Karenina”. The Dior RTW 2008 fall collection, reminiscing pre-revolutionary Russian high society, includes fur coats and hats as well as the new line of handbags simply called “Karenina”.
There will be day and evening bags to choose from that boast matte crocodile skin in colours such as petrol blue, black, grey, cream and brown. They will also feature combinations of shiny leather and coloured, aged leather. Smaller pieces from this new collection include a frame bag and four evening bags with top handles.
