More “Flop” than “Fit”
The Aurelia FitFlop
Is it just me or is this one of those things that makes you go, “Umm, no thanks?” I have yet to hear first hand of the amazing results one gets from wearing the infamous FitFlops, which claim to “have been shown to trigger increased gluteal muscle response” and other such things. In other words, if you wear these as much as your regular flip flops your lower half should look absolutely fab come Fall. Now, in an effort to be more “fashion forward” FitFlops came out with the “Aurelia” FitFlop based on one of this season’s hottest trends, the gladiator sandal. However, it hardly seems fashion-y or even good looking at all. It looks like three different shoes melded into one. Notice I said three, as in a flip flop, a gladiator and a boot. Not only that, but they look a bit uncomfortable to walk in, so I’m not sure how “fit” you could actually get wearing them. Word on the street is they’re a hard pair to find. So, if you wanted to get try out FitFlops I’d suggest trying the originals, not just because they’re easier to find but because they’re just better looking and they function the exact same way. If you want to want gladiator sandals, then buy gladiator sandals. And if you want to just be “fit” then go outside in a pair of old fashioned sneakers and run (or walk) a mile or two.
