Longchamp will be adding a new book to our shelves to celebrate their 60-year anniversary in the design world.

The book entitled “LongChamp”, 192 pages, will be in stores starting in September. The book will outline the label’s history, starting off with the first few years. It will also include unforgettable fashion moments including an archive collection by the French painter Serge Mendjisky.

“It was fun coming across our first line of bags customised by an artist in 1971,” managing director Jean Cassegrain told WWD of the line.

“As far as I know, it was the first example of a leather goods house collaborating with an artist.”
