French first lady Carla Bruni speaks to Vanity Fair about her transition from supermodel to singer and those nude photographs. An interview and profile of Ms Bruni-Sarkozy appears in the September issue of Vanity Fair with a front cover shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.Bruni married the French president after a three-month romance that began when they met at a Paris dinner party.The president has had two wives before marrying Bruni and Carla mentions that she is on friendly terms with Mr Sarkozy’s first wife, but that relations with his second wife Cecilia were still strained. She added: ‘I would be delighted to meet and have lunch with Cecilia, but I think she is not ready, and Nicolas is not. ‘They are still burned by their love, which proves they had a very strong love.’ Ms Bruni- Sarkozy said her husband was so besotted with her that he proposed within weeks of meeting.
