Nicky Hilton’s “Surfers Paradise” opens in 2009
Big news Down Under! Construction is already underway for this much anticipated hotel. Nicky Hilton has joined forces with Raptis Group Limited to build the Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel and Residences. The award winning Raptis Group developed several of the hotels on the Gold Coast and is renowned for their strong, timeless architecture that embodies the lifestyle of the Gold Coast area. Surfers Paradise Hotel will be the first five-star condo hotel, not only on the Gold Coast, but in all of Australia. The hotel will consist of two modern towers, featuring retail boutiques, a cinema, a nightclub, and all the five-star amenities you would normally expect of a Hilton hotel.
Boulevard Tower, which will be Phase I of the project, will house 186 one and two-bedroom condos and a retail area at the base of the 32 story building. Orchid Tower will be the larger tower, featuring 220 two and three-bedroom condos as well as 170 full time hotel units. The condos are currently retailing for $570,000 to $960,000 for the Phase I condos which are scheduled to be completed in June 2009. Owners will have the choice to live in the condo year-round, or to place it on the rental program so that guests of the hotel may enjoy it as well.
It seems that Nicky won’t be the only Hilton in Queensland, Australia. Paris is said to be headed there as well, for a much needed escape from LA. This therapeutic getaway was encouraged by Derek Jackson, who uses physics to understand the needs of individuals on a chemical level. Apparently Mr. Jackson advised Paris to purchase real estate in Australia, and she is expecting to benefit emotionally as well as financially from this move. Nicky Hilton was also a client of Derek Jackson while struggling with an eating disorder, as was Britney Spears, whom Derek suspects suffered a mental breakdown as a result of a chemical imbalance caused by too much cola. Hopefully his advise serves the Hilton sisters well.
Nicky has high hopes for Surfers Paradise, which is expected to do much better than her last hotel, “Nicky O” on South Beach, which sadly went bankrupt in 2007 after attempts at renovation. The unique Surfers Paradise hotel shows enormous potential for her as an entrepreneur, and will draw unparalleled revenue to the world famous Gold Coast. If you’re looking for a trendy new vacation spot for next summer, this will definitely be the place to see and be seen
