At just 21 years old, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley already has a reputation of potentially being “the next Kate Moss.” Born in Devon, England, she was discovered in 2003 while still studying at Tavistock College. Rosie had never even considered the prospect of becoming a model, believing she was not pretty enough, but Profile Model Agency saw otherwise. They signed her immediately, reveling in her blue eyes, cute baby face, and full lips.

Her big break was also her finest victory. After walking the runway for Burberry, the fashion house dropped their spokesmodel of the moment, Rosie’s ex-BFF Agyness Deyn like a hot potato, and opted instead for Rosie’s softer look. It is said that this move was deliberate, a scorned best friend jealous of Deyn’s early success and failure to keep in touch after she hit it big. Sounds petty, but considering the brutality of the fashion world, it’s easily digestible.

Since then, the work has been flowing in for Rosie, appearing in catalogues and advertisements for Bloomingdales, FCUK, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret PINK line, and issues of Vogue and Elle around the world. For now, Kate Moss she is not, but with her determination to make it all the way to the top, one day she may be.
