Karl Lagerfeld 2010 Cruise Collection in Venice
Karl Lagerfeld is renowned for his elaborate fashion shows. This year alone he had shows at the Los Angeles International Airport and his Ready-to-wear collection in Paris featured neon colored rainbow runways for the models to stomp down. It’s no surprise that he is already planning his next big event, he is a man obsessed with cultivating and being in complete control of his own image. The new show, a cruise collection nonetheless, is going to be held in Venice 2010. Cruise collections are typically fluffer’s for designers offering a brief glimpse into what the bigger fall and spring runway shows will feature. Nowadays, a cruise collection almost holds as much importance as Ready-to-wear and can make or break a designer’s reputation. Lagerfeld doesn’t really have to worry though, he is a man of glamour and charm and his pieces are beautiful intricate pieces of art. Until the location of his cruise collection is confirmed let’s all just party like it’s 2010.
