At a preview of his new wedding collection, Giambattista Valli explained how he came to the decision to create the line of dresses - a surge in requests from friends.

He made each of the dresses with someone specific in mind, looking at each as a different personality. “They’re classic with a twist,” Valli said. “I like to see them both as wedding and party dresses.”

The gowns will be featured in ivory and other colors, and will have the attention to detail he’s so well known for. From bustiers for a sexy bride to Cinderella’s jaw-dropping dress, there’s something for every type of bride. Valli also created outerwear for the collection, with wraps, stoles, and shawls to complement as well as cover up.

The collection will be launched in November, with prices starting at $11,000.
