Absolut Vodka is the only brand of spirits that can get my mouth watering just by looking at it. Maybe it’s just that good, maybe I’m just a big lush, but nevertheless, one cannot deny that the Swedish-based vodka brand is one of the most revolutionary and most celebrated in the industry. Their vast catalogue of flavours has made them a favourite amongst trendy yuppies and college students alike.

Absolut has always encouraged diversity, and were the first to openly support gay and lesbian rights back in the eighties. This year, the most important symbol of the LGBT community, the rainbow flag, turns 30 and Absolut has chosen to commemorate that with the initiative, Absolut Colors.

Absolut Colors will make its debut with a limited-edition, rainbow coloured bottle of their classic 80 proof vodka. Accompanying it is the similarly limited-edition Absolut Colors Cocktail Collection, an interesting read on mixing special colourful drinks based on the six colours of the flag. This chic little guide would add the necessary touch of cool to any coffee table. A must for anyone who fancies themselves a cocktail connoisseur or those who just love mixing their own martinis.
