Linda Evangeliste for Prada Fall/Winter 2008 campaign
Before Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer models were paid to blend in, deal with demanding shoots without being sufficiently paid and remain anonymous mannequins for fashion designers to use, abuse and toss out for the next batch. Evangelista, a Canadian with Italian roots, was too damn pretty and wickedly smart to be squashed and lost amongst the other waifs and instead told Vogue that “we doesn’t wake up for less than $10, 000 a day.”
So what’s one of the most powerful and gorgeous supermodels of the earlier 1990’s up to in the new millennium? Linda Evangelista may or may not be the new face of Prada and could be secretly shooting the new campaign with well-respected and coveted photographer Steven Meisel. Keep an eye out of the new campaign that launches fall 2008.
