Pete Wentz was in Chicago this past Monday, talking up the upcoming Fashion Focus Chicago.

Wentz, who is from the Chicago suburb of Wilmette, plans to launch his clothing line, Clandestine Industries, at this year’s Fashion Focus. At the 9 a.m. press conference that Wentz participated in with Mayor Daley, the Fall Out Boy bassist said that “It’s important for me to champion Chicago as a burgeoning fashion market.”

Fashion Focus is Chicago’s version of New York, Paris and Milan’s “Fashion Week.” The event kicks off October 1.
