Jade Jagger designs interiors for The Lakes
Hired by developers Yoo to design the interiors of a range of houses for the Lakes, a new resort near the town of Lechlade, Jade Jagger is about to convert luxurious yet archaic family getaway homes into somewhat modern livable spaces for the Hamptonesque crowd of London.
Her model home features high theatrical ceilings; a small yet welcoming kitchen and two grandiose bathrooms meant for the whole family to converge in. “The bathroom is where I chat with my children. It’s an intimate family space. You know, a place where you can cut their toenails and talk about what sort of day they’ve had in school. You can utterly relax in the bathroom. It’s the one place I can give back to myself,” Jade said.
The Lakes, a safe playground for the upper elitist of London, will soon be 160 homes spread across 650 arcs of countryside and will offer gravel pits, canoes, flying foxes, bicycles and for those still wound up from the drive up from the city, an onsite spa.
