TopShop to open in NYC (478, Broadway)

UK’s biggest fashion retailer store, and my favourite of all, TopShop will launch its first international store in New York.
Sir Philip Green describes his dream of opening US flagship, “I always had it in my head that it would cost about $50m to launch in the States and we can certainly afford that,” he said. “I’ve been thinking about doing this for about 18 months. We have to prove that this is a brand that can travel.”
He also sets his eyes on other international locations including India, Hong Kong, and China.
The new store in 478 Broadway will be 40,000 square feet, 4 storeys high, and designed with glossy shelving, futuristic lighting tubes, and a DJ booth. Like some other large retailers, personal shopper or stylists will be available for women, and style advisors for the men (TOPMEN). Topshop and Topmen will set to open its doors at Fall 2008. Kate Moss, who is doing her design collaboration with Topshop, is said to help out with the launch. Hm..and I wonder if Kate Moss collection will be available in the US too.
