Jessica Simpson plans to launch a line of intimate apparel – bras, sleepwear, loungewear - due out for next Spring. This venture will expand on her already existing footwear, swimwear, and beauty product line. My guess is that this was a move orchestrated by her Papa Joe to save her career, which is in the ‘going nowhere fast’ file.

Creatively titled Jessica Simpson Intimates (how many all-nighters did that one take?), the products will be produced and distributed by Vestiny Apparel Inc. The partnership between the two is a good fit: Vestiny, distributors of several brands designed for bigger cup sizes, and Simpson, who was inspired to create this line after being continually frustrated at the selection for those with a larger bust.

Says Simpson, “It is the first thing you put on. If you start with something that fits correctly and is comfortable and fashionable, it will only complement your look… The collection is fun, flirty and exactly what I would want to wear.”

I don’t know about you, but I jump back in fright when I see Jessica Simpson’s shoes in the shops, I can only imagine what I’d do if I saw Jessica Simpson lingerie (run away screaming, arms flailing?). I guess it is less painful than hearing her sing. Or watching her act. Or be in a fake relationship.
