Longer eye-lashes from the makers of Botox

I like them long, thick, and dark, and now I can get them even longer…
Get your mind out of the gutter, I am talking about eye-lashes.
Flawless beauty is truly just around the corner. Soon-to-be-released, eye-lash-lengthening drug, Bimtoprost from Allergan, the same people who brought you Botox.
Bimtoprost was first used by Allergan to relieve eye-pressure for Glaucoma patients. It was discovered that when applied directly to the base of eye-lashes, it results in significant eye-lash growth.
For the medical aesthetic world this could mean a huge breakthrough if Bimtoprost is approved.
“This innovative product, if approved, could meet a significant and currently unmet demand in the medical aesthetic marketplace,” said Scott Whitcup, vice-president of research and development.
The pharmaceutical maker feels the drug will be as well-received as Botox originally was in 2002 when released for cosmetic purposes.
Pending on regulatory approval, the drug is hoped to be released in 2009.
