Be sexy, be classy, be elegant. These things can be accomplished when wearing this season’s style trend, sheer.

Up until this season the only sheer apparel I had in my closet was apart of my lingerie collection, and even that was worn selectively.

However, there is a new way to where this stuff, (curvy ladies, you can even do it too.) and I promise you it can happen without making yourself look like a ten-cent hooker.

Keep in mind many women make the mistake of wearing a black sheer top with a black cami underneath; while sheer is the trend this season, black is not the chosen shade to be making style statements with.

You will want to pair your sheer with something on the lighter side, soft colours such as purple, fuchsia and blue are are not only happy and spring-like, but this season’s trend-setting colours. Pairing a soft pastel dress and a sheer-slip, creates a classy elegance that makes one beautiful and radiant, and not trashy or revealing.

Overall you want to maintain elegance while integrating sheer into your wardrobe. Keep in mind this can also be done without a dress and delicate sheer over top. For example, Kate Moss will pair sheer with a belt, and finish it off with jeans.

For the ladies adorning business attire, don’t feel left out because you too can feel sexy in a sheer blouse underneath a jacket with a skirt or pants. Keep in mind the bra you wear can throw-off your sheer-look in an instant. Don’t wear your favourite demi-cup; instead find something a tad more modest. Check out Victoria Secret selection of colours, and also their bustiers. However, keep in mind to beware of bulk. Don’t pair a bustier with your sheer ensemble unless it’s seamless, and streamline. Satin, and silk are good choices.

Stay away from floral. You will look like a 1980s drape-set paired with a living-room window-sheer. However, don’t fear patterns there are many to choose from and can add flair to your elegance.
