A funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday for the legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent who died from brain cancer on Sunday at the age of 71.

He was surrounded by his long time business partner Pierre Berger, friend and model Betty Catroux, and actress Catherine Deneuve.

Yves Saint Laurent revolutionalized the fashion industry by creating his signature sleek and elegant pants. Pierre describes YSL as giving women power with his creation and helping women discover their inner confidence.

His funeral will be held at Eglise Saint-Roch, a baroque style church in Paris. His body will be cremated and his ashes will lay in Majorelle Garden at Marrakech, Morocco.French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife are expected to attend.

You will be dearly missed Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent.
