Proenza Schouler extends into shoes

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the pair behind the CFDA Fashion Award-nominated Proenza Schouler, have signed a contract with shoe designer Guiseppe Zanotti to create their first complete line of shoes, due out in the spring or summer of 2009.
While the duo currently creates shoes, this will be their first major collection. The average price of a pair is $685, but they’ll range from $300 to $3,000.
Proenza Schouler has had much success and many hit collections since their 2002 inception. In 2003 they won the CFDA Perry Ellis Award for new talent, and in 2007 they shared the award for womenswear designer of the year.
