Last Wednesday Alberta Ferretti announced that she plans to open her first U.S. flagship in Los Angeles. The store will be a huge 5,381 square feet and will feature an 85-foot storefront at 8626 Melrose Avenue, at the corner of Huntley Drive.

The store will carry the brand’s entire collection, including Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti and Alberta Ferretti Girls clothing, shoes, and accessories. The store is set to debut in late summer promises Aeffe SpA, owner of the Italian label.

Designed by London-based Sybarite Architects, the store will be the first to feature the new Ferretti store concept, which focuses on a light and relaxing environment. All merchandise will be displayed on magnetic hangers and shelves that can be repositioned easily on lacquered steel panels. Other components include lacquered petals and mannequins sprouting from a cement inlaid floor. The boxy white exterior will be framed in black stainless steel. The all-white exterior, will be bordered by a band of black stainless steel, which will define the parameters of the private parking area in back.
