Currently being filmed is the Coco Chanel movie, a biography of Coco Chanel’s life before this fashionista’s rise to fame. The acclaimed French actress Audrey Tautou, who you may know from The Da Vinci Code, was cast to play Coco. This anticipated movie directed by Anne Fountaine is currently being filmed, and is set to be released later this year.

Synopsis: “In an orphanage, silently standing next to a perfectly made bed, is a frail and slender ten year old girl with thick black hair. Gabrielle Chanel, known as Coco, and her many lives. The story of the path taken by Coco from her obscure beginnings to the blinding lights of Paris.”
