Loreal’s teams up with Facebook to recruit employees “Work With Me”

Most of us do it, we feel lazy when we know we should be directing our focus on something much more needed. Perhaps cleaning your house is an idea, washing your car, or even pounding the pavement looking for a job. These are all things that require energy and motivation – two things that some people just can’t find, anywhere. That’s why many people find it easier surfing around the Internet, doing God-knows-what, probably anything except searching for self-motivation tactics.
However, with today’s technology you can now eat a cheeseburger, and sit in your underwear while applying for that dream job of yours. How convenient, the Internet offers a plethora of sites that let you apply all over the Net with the click of a couple mouse-buttons. And even better yet, now you can even do it without abandoning your favourite site, such as… Let’s say… Oh I don’t know…Facebook.
For me, the Hug Me Application was pretty cool when I signed up, and even at that I wasn’t foaming at the mouth, randomly checking my page to see how many of my Facebook friends decided to hug me…over the internet. OK, maybe I was, and it turned out not many were interested. However, better days are yet to come because now, all of us Facebook goers have over five pages of applications to choose from. Can I say, OMFG?
But now the time has really come. Get out your cameras and start clicking away as there has never been a better time for a self-indulging photo shoot to be plastered all over your profile. The word is, cosmetic giant, Loreal has even clued-in, and is said to be hopping on the band-wagon of one newly added Facebook Application, Work with Me.
Designed for employees of businesses to sign up, and promote job opportunities within their company, Facebook’s Work with Me application makes it easier for people to be more productive other than using the online community to spread gossip, or root around profiles. Let’s not forget adding meaningless applications. Because, let’s face it, no one is going to care what you look like as a cartoon character when they’re looking over your highly-skilled, over or under-qualified resume.
