Vera Wang’s Lavender Label has announced it is to launch a new accessory line in collaboration with the Accessory Network Group in spring 2009. The three-year deal to build a collection of small leather goods and accessories will introduce a new range of handbags to accompany the labels current apparel. Prices are expected to range from $300 to $1,000, which Susan Sokol, president of Vera Wang, tells WWD: “Gives us an opportunity to have something much more accessible in the category of designer handbags”. And she doesn’t plan to stop there, hinting that a new shoe collection may also be in the pipeline
