Giorgio Armani has designed a bespoke wardrobe for his friend, singer/songwriter, Alicia Keys’s upcoming As I Am world tour. Inspired by three looks from his collections, Alicia will wear a crocodile-embossed leather vest accented with Swarovski crystal buckles with Armani’s new lacquered Alicia jeans, a sequined tunic with crystal-beaded fringing and, for the finale, a tiered silk taffeta top with circular pleats embellished with Swarovski beading. Of the collaboration, Keys said: “Armani is phenomenal! He knows how to make clothes that are perfectly tailored to a woman like me. His designs are the epitome of class, timelessness and edge and we are a perfect combination! We plan to make history!” Armani said he was “proud to be collaborating with her [Alicia] and: “Combining a magical voice with a captivating onstage presence, Alicia is a performer we will justifiably be comparing with the great Aretha Franklin in years to come.”
