As a result of his autumn/winter 2007-8 offering for the American high street store being so successful, Pierre Hardy has yet again signed up to create shoes for Gap. The spring/summer 2008 limited edition collection, which is a part of the Gap Design Editions initiatives, hits the shops on March 15 and contains nine styles for the ladies and two for men. Hardy’s refined aesthetics go hand-in-hand with Gap’s casual, easy-to-wear motto, and the new collection includes chunky wooden platforms (which undoubtedly will be worn by every fashionista this summer), Grecian T-bar sandals and unisex white canvas trainers with leather trims; for the men, there are black leather loafers and a three-strap sandal. With prices starting at just $70, it shouldn’t be hard to inject a little Parisian chic into your summer wardrobe.
