Diane Von Furstenberg is giving people a little insight into what it is like to be a high-profile fashion designer by opening her home and studio to film an advert for American Express. The designer is one of the high-profile people who have been asked to join the “Are you a Cardmember?” campaign, which airs during the 2008 Academy Award broadcast on February 24, on American television network ABC. The spot, filmed by Capote director Bennett Miller, will also include a print advertisement shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz. Revealing her life story and ambitions through beautiful images, the campaign show how, through fashion, she became the woman she is today. Of the collaboration, Diane Von Furstenberg said: “Women inspire me and I inspire them to be independent and free which is how I feel when I use my American Express Card.”
