For the Spring/Summer 208 Chanel is going big with a brand new Sportswear collection. This is the first look at the ads for Chanel’s new season sport collection, shot by Karl Lagerfeld and featuring pared-down cycling helmets, bikinis with Fifties-style high-waisted shorts and sporty stripe motifs and hooded jackets adorned with crocheted corsages. Thanks to Coco Chanel’s love of sport - she once declared: “I invented sport suits for me. Not because other women were playing sports, but because I was playing them” Chanel is the designer brand to invest in when it comes to functionality and style. Not a gym bunny? The collection doesn’t arrive in the boutiques until May, giving us plenty of time to psyche ourselves up to get on those bikes.
