Award winning actress Kate Ford, better known as super-bitchy Tracy Barlow on Coronation Street, has a new starring role as the face of jewelry company Ortak. To fete the company’s 40th anniversary, Orsak is also launching eight new collections. The lines, which hit the shops this week, include gold, diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones. Captured in a serie of four images with Kate, the new pieces draw on key fashion influences from the 1960s right up to the present. The first image recreates 1960’s model Christine Keeler’s famous “chair pose”. One pictures uses Laura Ashley-style prints to represent the seventies, while an eighties shot takes inspiration from Robert Palmer’s Addicted to Love video. The final shot seeks to capture the look of “today’s modern, self-assured women.” Ortak managing director, Alistair Gray, said that “Kate looks fabulous in the new range and her look sums up how our customers, both old and new, feel about our jewelry. Ortak is exciting and feisty and although we have a very strong heritage and history spanning 40 years we’re still bang on-trend when it comes to fresh, modern design. Kate is not only a stunning ambassador for the range but she’s also a great sport, even agreeing to pose in her ‘Birthday Suit’ for our Birthday!”
