Paris Fashion Week: Valentino
Fashion designer Valentino tried to please everyone with his Spring 2008 collection. The king, who recently celebrated 45 years in the industry, will retire in January after a final haute couture show. “This is the one before the last and I want to do my best, and why not?” the 75-year-old Valentino said about today’s show.”I am full of joy and a little emotional of course, and I am very strong because as I told you. I leave the room, but the room is still full”. His last ready-to-wear show presented earlier today showed glamourous evening gowns and cocktail dresses in signature red, pink, polka dots, and ruffles. Valentino dressed big names such as Audrey Hepburn, Jacqueline Kennedy and Julia Roberts among others. His conservative, yet stylish style has attracted fans from all over the world.
