Paris Fashion Week: Christian Dior
Paris Fashion Week, the last and most prestigious stop on the world’s fashion circuit, is finally here. Exclusive fashion house Christian Dior showed its Spring 2008 collection earlier today. The brand which feted its 60th anniversary in September is back to elegance after years of fashion shows inspired by homeless people and biker chicks. Menswear-inspired looks started the show with tuxedo jackets, trench coats, top hats, and men’s white shirts tucked into skirts. The wearable pieces are very chic and strappy, one shoulder and deep V-necks dresses in red, black and white are pure elegance. Some pieces were a bit tacky, such as the animal print lingerie, cheetah suit, and the zebra skirt and dress. The models make-up and hair was very trashy yet glamourous..something that only Dior can do.
