Milan Fashion Week: Versace
For her Spring 2008 collection, Donatella Versace used vivid colours to give her dresses a little twist. The show started by paying homage to Luciano Pavarotti who died earlier this month with his trademark “Nessun Dorma” . Donatella used a classic shirtdress style for daywear along with mini shorts and a shirt. The show was rounded off with variations on a long, slim, soft evening silhouette, using a palette of colours that included orange, jade, yellow, pink and electric blue. As for the shoes, they were as bright as the dresses and the heels were sculpted, while handheld bags were art-folder sized in beige, white and metallics. Donatella presented one of the best Spring/Summer 2008 collection with doing what she does best: flashing. Bravissimo!
