Milan Fashion Week: Fendi
The elegant and well-thought Spring 2008 Fendi collection presented yesterday during Milan Fashion Week was celebrating, in discreet style, 10 years of the Baguette bag, which Silvia Venturini Fendi described as “timeless,” saying: “I think the Baguette deserves a longer life than an ‘It’ bag.” The watery theme of the show was reinforced with tanslucent fabrics and liquid flowing through looping pipes on the runway and backdrop. Graceful dresses in soft colors with circle prints were inspired by the work of DaDa artist François Picabia and the modern mid-calf dresses worn over shorts are a proof that one can be sporty yet trendy.
